Megan Sonsini, AMFT

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who practices from a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens. My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I aim to create a space where clients feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow at a pace that feels right for them. I believe healing happens in connection, and I work collaboratively with clients as we make sense of their experiences together.

I have worked with children, teens, adults, couples, and families in both private practice and community settings, supporting clients ages 4 through 74. My clinical experience includes working with PTSD, sexual trauma, anxiety, grief, relational challenges, and major life transitions. I welcome a wide range of stories and backgrounds with openness, curiosity, and respect.

In my work, I integrate trauma-focused principles, somatic awareness, and evidence-based tools to help clients understand their emotional and physiological responses. I care deeply about meeting each person where they are, honoring their strengths, and helping them move toward a deeper sense of connection with themselves and with the people who matter most.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy baking and cooking, watching sports, exploring creative outlets, and going on long walks. As a Santa Barbara native, I love spending time in the community and taking in the natural beauty of the Central Coast.

I am working under the supervision of Autumn LaTour, LMFT #126135 and Susan Soderman, LMFT #98962.
